Blue Ridge Mountains

Scott and I rented a cabin this weekend in the Blueridge Mountains in North Georgia. We have been wanting to do it for awhile but the timing never seemed right. Well it was definitely right this time and we had so much fun! My parents and brothers came along with my sister and her family. We had such a fun time playing games and spending some quality family time. Hopefully we will be able to do it again soon and have Scott's parents and brother and nephew out! I love my family!

This is the view we had from the porch

Me

Playing the Wii. I love Rainas facial expression!

Kent and Dad playing foosball

Hot Tub Time- Damien and me, I just love that kid

We spent most of our time in here, it was so relaxing just soaking in the hot water and looking at the beautiful mountain view!!

My mom playing her favorite game of all time- Pac Man

Jaysson, my brother in law has this dance game on his Wii and all of us couldn't stop laughing at him and Kent getting it on to MC Hammer's U Can't Touch This!

The Family watched quite a few movies this weekend in the amazing movie theater! Scott was loving it so much he started saying how we could make one in our basement! hmmm... we will see about that:)

Backyard

Here are some pictures of our backyard behind our tree line. It is so pretty back there but it looks kind of bare because of the lack of leaves.

Snow in Georgia

Schools and work places were shut down because of snow on Friday Jan 8. Here is what my drive way looks like.

I would say that it looks like thick frost. What do you think?

New Years Day

New Years Day is a big holiday in Japan, so we celebrate it with lots of yummy food and Family. When I was little I would look forward to New years more than I would Christmas cause I wanted lots of yummy Japanese food.

My holidays have been so amazing! I am really sad to see them go. Scott took the last 2 weeks in December off so he was home with me when I wasn't working! It was so fantastic to sit on the couch and watch tv together and laugh. We went to friends houses and they came to ours and there was so much happiness and fun. I asked Scott when we could retire so we could just be together all day. He just laughed and kissed me and said "soon". I just love my husband. He always has such a positive attitude, despite how his day is going. He has taught me so much about not being depressed for days at a time and being so bitter about everything. He says life is to short to be unhappy, and we can always find something good in our lives everyday. I wish I could just be home with him everyday and that we could travel the world together. Aahhhhhhhhh my day dreams keep me sane when I am at work:)

Anyways, New Years day we went to my parents house and had some yummy yummy sushi and some good food and good company. After we left my parents house we went home and Scott's best friend Jim Bob was there. It was a great day. The next day Scott decided that we should go on a walk behind our house. Well there are like 180 acres of woods back there, so I was a little nervous about getting lost. But when we passed the trees and bushes at the end of our property the world opened up! It was so beautiful!!! There were four wheelers tracks that we followed and we found 2 ponds and found a deer patch and it was so beautiful! I climbed up on a couple deer stands and could see for miles above meadows and pastures and trees. It was breath taking. I never knew that all this was behind my house! Instead of a little walk it ended up being a 2 hour hike. It was the highlight of my holiday. Unfortunately I didn't take my camera with me so I can't post any pictures yet. I will go back there again soon and take picture:)
