Christmas cont...

By the way every one I got a new Wii and a Wii fit board. And I also got a pair of polarized Oakley sunglasses that are very hot:) Just in case anyone wanted to know...

Birthdays and Christmas

Scott's birthday was December 23, so I ended up taking work off on for most of the week of Christmas. I was so excited to give Scott his presents, because last year we didn't have the money to give each other presents. He actually got me two things last year and I didn't get him anything and I felt like a big shmuck, so I was determined to make it up this year. So I broke down and gave him his birthday present on the 22. Which is his legal birthday that is on his birth certificate (long story...).
I got him a new GPS, because the one we have is getting old and the power button doesn't work anymore. He was pretty excited. It has a bluetooth feature that links his phone to the GPS and he can talk through the GPS while he is driving. Its pretty neat.

Then we relaxed for the rest of the day! It was great. On Dec 23, Scott's birthday (illegally:)) Scott wanted to go to the driving range and shoot some golf balls. So Scott's good friend Tommy came and picked us up and we went to a golf coarse close to our house.

Tommy and Scott

Scott was actually really good. He always ends up surprising me when he plays sports, because he looks like he wouldn't be able to play very well, but he hit those golf balls past the 250 yard mark.

On Christmas Eve we went to Scott's Grandparents house. It is crazy to think that this year was the 5th year I have had Christmas with them! Its hard to believe we have been together that long! I guess time flies when your having fun:)

We got Scott's mom a digital camera this year because she loves pictures, and we thought it would be a great gift that she could take her own pictures. From the looks of it, she looked pretty happy with her gift.

We ended up spending the night at my parents house that night so we wouldn't have to drive all the way home and then back again in the morning. I woke up and could hear my parents talking so I went into the kitchen at about 8am and the boys still weren't awake! I couldn't believe it. I remember being younger and me and my sister would be so excited we would drag my brother out of bed and run down the stairs at 6! I guess its just the boys, who knows. Anyway Masato ended up waking up at around 8:45 and then Kent woke up around nine. It was fun watching kids open presents. they get so excited:)

Scott got some very nice cookie sheets so he can bake his cookies to perfection! hahaha

We left my parents house around 12 and headed home. Scott finally got to open his presents and I was way excited for him. I got him a Tool chest for his shop (which I didn't get a picture of), I got him a Play station 3 with 4 games and a blueray movie. He was pretty excited.

Drum Roll.....

There's a smile.....

And the games:)

And his opening his new ring, he was pretty excited. He asked me if I would ask him to marry him since that hasn't happened. It was hilarious, we laughed so hard we almost pee'd( is this how you spell it?) our pants.

My spoiled brat who kept watching me take pictures. I had to get a shot of her.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! I can't wait for the new year and setting new goals that we can accomplish through the year!

New Moon

My friend Tricia and I bought tickets about a month ago to go see New Moon at midnight. I have been pretty excited all week cause I have never been to a midnight showing. Well, we decided to eat dinner at a small place in McDonough square called PastaMax, and it was so good. Then we did a little shopping, and about 9:15 Tricia says we should probably just go pick up our tickets since we bought them online.Well this is what the theater looked like when we got there...

In the front of the building all the way to the doors. People brought lawn chair and blankets.

These were the peopl wrapped around the building and half way down, where we decided to get in line at 9:30. 2 1/2 hours before the showing.

And these are the people behind us that went all the way down the side and around the parking lot...

Can you see the people in the bushes behind the yellow car?

Tricia and I just waiting in line

Definantly an interesting experience but we had so much fun. Tricia said that next time we needed to get t-shirts. hahaha I dont know if I could go that far with standing in the cold.

What a great weekend!

So it all started Friday, when Scott and I were supposed to feed the missionaries. A few couples in the ward and us decided to go to Buckners on Friday night to have a fun time with friends. Like I said we were supposed to feed the missionaries, but we really wanted to go so we decided to invite them. We ended up having a really fun time talking and eating greasy fattening southern food. It was so much fun!

Saturday Scott and I got the privilege to go to the Columbia South Carolina Temple. The Atlanta temple has been under construction for quite some time now (total construction time= 18mo) and so its been kind of difficult to get up there. We woke up early(Scott's Cousin Kristina spent the night so she could go with us) and left to pick up a recent convert so he could go to the temple for the first time. Then we met at our friends so we could all pile into his van and head up there. I don't remember exactly how long it took, but I am guessing around 3 hours. We left early and we were able to stop by the Nephi's Books, book store (thats a mouth full). I was so excited because I wanted to buy a picture or two and a few other things. I ended up buying 2 large pictures and a small one. I was so excited because I have been on a decorating spree for my house and these will go perfect.
We got to the temple and did some baptisms. It was very nice to see the temple was so busy, and people so wiling to serve. Afterwards we walked around the temple and took some pictures. It was such a nice long day. We didn't get home until 7:00pm. I have never really had to drive that far to go to the temple, and it really made me appreciate having a temple so close by.

I love my husband, he is just always so happy and makes me laugh.

This temple is so beautiful, the whole outside looks like its made of marble!
Absolutly gorgeous

Sunday, again we woke up early, and headed to church. It was the first time I was able to teach a lesson in our new building! It was so much fun. We were meeting in a recreation building in Jackson and my sunbeams and I had to meet in the foyer and we would sit on a blanket and take our shoes off and have a lesson. Yesterday we had a real classroom with real chairs. It was so weird. My sunbeams walked in and didnt know what to do. We ended up taking our shoes off and sitting on the floor anyway.
After church a girl I work with was having a baby shower, so I dropped by and ate some food and congratulated her. I left early so Scott and I could go pick up the sister missionaries because we were doing a split with them. It was the first time I have ever went with the missionaries to go teach and we had a really good time. Sister Rogers, the senior sister companion that we went with was so amazing, she had the spirit so strong and she committed the guy we were teaching to be baptized. It was a really neat experience. Scott and I both were able to bear our tesimonies to him. Its funny to think that sometimes my testimony is really lacking, and then at time like that, everything I have learned in my life comes back and I truly do have a belief that Christ lives. Amazing.

Anyway, after we left, we went and picked up the other 2 sisters, and the three of them in the back of the car were so excited about their hard work. The other two sisters were saying what a miracle it was that they found 2 new investigators and they were able to reach their goal. I never knew what it was like to be a missionary, but it was a lot of fun.

After all the spiritualness (is that a word?) we headed over to our friends house and had some amazing cheese potatoes ( and i mean amazing) and steak and then we played Scrabble and cards. It was the first time I have played scrabble with the rules and their was a whole lot of thinking involved ( something I don't do). Anyways I was so tired by the end of the day, but I felt so good and so full. It was amazing. Sorry for such a long post:)

Softball

One of my best friends daughter played her last softball game of the season and we went out to watch her. It was so funny watching 5 and 6 year olds play softball, and crazy to watch parents and coaches get to upset.

Up to bat. She was really good, she was up about 3 times and hit the ball every time. She even got to home base once.

I just love all their pink helmets and bats, girls will be girls.

Talledega pictures

Its been awhile since I have posted because I keep forgetting my camera. So here are some pictures of our crazy adventure.

We headed out early Saturday so we could stop by and see Scott's parents. We did that and then headed to the Tool Shed where we picked up some tools for very cheap for Scott's truck project. And then we headed to the hotel. Anyway I really don't know what to type so here are the pictures:)

Wyfrey Hotel

Before the race at the hospitality tents, we stopped by the National Guard tent.

This was the Bass pro shop's Trailer and all it had were deer heads in it. But the lady informed us that there was $5.5 million worth of deer heads. I didn't even know deer head could be worth that much!!!

Scott was trying to teach Andrew how to fish because he had never done it before. He was awful, it was hilarious
(I cant get this underline off, weird...)

Race

Ryan Newman's car after his crazy wreck. It's amazing how these drivers put their lives at risk sometimes.

Talladega Speedway! :) We had a blast, and it was even better that it was all free. I am liking this NASCAR thing. I think I am becoming a fan

Trunk or Treat

My parents invited us to go to trunk or treat at the church with them and I was so excited cause I wanted to see everyones costumes. My brother Masato was Darth Vador, my brother Kent was Aniken Skywalker, Damien was Spiderman, and Ali was an angel. It was a lot of fun watching them get candy and then getting a sugar high.

Masa - aka Darth Vador

Kent - aka Aniken Skywalker

Damien- aka Spiderman

Now this picture I absolutly love! Ali loves Scott, and Scott loves Ali, she is always so happy with him. He looks like a daddy in this picture, dont you think? :)

Shooting Range

Scott and I were able to go to one of his best friends weddings in Alabama last weekend and we had a blast. I just wanted to post a picture of the church cause it was so beautiful. We had such a great time.

HA, what a good looking couple!

The morning that we were supposed to leave, Scott and his best friend Jim Bob decided to go to a shooting range so we could all "brush up on our skill" hahaha like I had any to begin with. But we ended up having so much fun and went through 200 rounds of ammo. I actually did really good after Scott showed me how to aim. I even got a couple bulls eyes, I was pretty proud of my girly self:)

Look how hard they are concentrating! hahahaha
Loading ammo

Scott is very good at shooting, I am glad I married a man who can protect me:)
