Speaker Boxes

Scott decided he wanted to put his sub woofers back into his truck, but he didn't have a speaker box to fit in his truck. So we decided we would make one together. We went out Friday night to Lowe's and bought some wood, glue, and outdoor carpet. Well while Scott started measuring, I got stuck playing a card game on my ipod touch. I was so into it it was hard to stop. I did hold the flash light for Scott, (he doesn't like me really doing to much cause he is such a perfectionist) then I sat down and played my card game while he made one box. Well we tried to fit his old box into the truck but it was too big by about 2 inches. I told him he just needed to knock off the two end pieces and it would fit perfectly. But of coarse he did not listen to me, and went ahead and made the first box. So while the first box was drying, he decided to knock off the two end pieces... I helped him fit it into his truck and WALLAA, It fit! He just looked at me and shook his head and said, "Don't say anything!" I just busted out laughing and giving him a hard time about not listening to a girl because he thinks I don't know how to do that stuff. It was hilarious. It was about 10:30pm when we finally finished and then we took a ride in the truck. I don't like the base being that loud but it was a lot of fun, we had the windows down and the music up.

Peace

I went to a couple of baptisms this weekend for my aunt and cousin. It was really neat. I sat there in the chapel after they were baptized and I felt the spirit so strongly. I just had such an overwhelming feeling of peace. Its been a while since I felt like that with life, jobs, bills, trials, etc getting in the way. Sometimes I forget the important stuff, cause I get so focused on the things that are happening right now. Sometimes we just need those moments to slow us down and put our lives back into perspective. It was amazing to get pulled back into line and feel such peace. I pray that I will be able to make my home have that loving peaceful feeling so I can have that everyday.

P90X

2 posts in one day, I know its crazy, but I guess since I have not updated in a long time, I have a lot to say.

I have been desperate to lose weight the last couple of months, but I have not been able to find the motivation to do it. Scott brought home an exercise bike from his brothers house the other day and I decided that I would ride it a little. Well I jumped on and ended up riding on it for 10 miles. Now when I was younger, I would go everywhere on my bike, I would ride 15 miles to the grocery store and 15 miles back, for a drink and some candy, just because I felt like it. So ten miles just didn't sound like a lot to me. I guess I forgot that, first of all that was about 9 or 10 years ago, and second of all, I am completely out of shape. So the next day my thighs were burning. But I decided not to quit. So I popped in the P90X video that my co-worker gave me. She had lost about 50-60 pounds with doing it for a year, and she looks great. Well, I did it about every other day, with riding the bike in between, and boy can I tell a difference. My legs are getting more muscular, my stomach is shrinking, and I have more energy. Now, I don't really believe in weighing myself, I judge more by how my clothes fit and how I feel. And just this has done wonders to my body in just a week in a half. I was so excited, that I got even more self motivated. I am determined to make myself feel better and I am going to make this part of my daily life, to keep my body healthy. And hopefully here soon I will be able to say like D&C 89 says "And shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint"

Gun Control

Scott decided yesterday that he wanted to get another gun for our house. He already has a Smith & Wesson Pistol, but I guess he wanted another one. I got home from work and he told me he had a surprise for me. So he gave me the gun. I just laughed cause he knows I don't really like them. I told him I wanted a rifle or shot gun in the house to have, cause I like to think that every house needs one, like they did in the old days (my own opinion). He said it was for ...just in case something ever happened. I could not keep from smiling and laughing because anytime Scott wants something bad enough, but does not have a good reason to get it, he will say it is for me. Even if I didn't want it or if I never look at it again, it is for me. It was so funny, and it was worth it to see the look of excitement on his face. He said it is the first time he has ever had 2 guns at the same time, and he was excited. But now I am going to have to go and get a pistol permit for myself... just in case... ha ha ha
